To whom this may concern,
My name is Giulia Marenco di Moriondo, I am a resident of Honolulu Hawai'i.
I have heard the news regarding the potential development of Punalu'u Ka'u, on Hawai'i
Island, and wanted to express my deep opposition to this.
There has been considerable backlash in regard to the idea of potential development in this
area. I believe it is in the best interest of both the state and residents to listen to what the
people of this area, and elsewhere, are saying, and not conduct development.
This area is home to rare, and endangered wildlife and plant species. To develop this area
would not only be ethically wrong, but from a scientific perspective one, wrong as well. It is
things like this which make Hawaii the endangered capital of the world. To further this
behavior with this already drab reputation is wholly irresponsible and frankly immoral.
I am in complete and utter opposition to any such development in this area, such as the
proposed condos, and golf courses.
These actions would certainly have drastic negative impacts to the ecosystems and wildlife
within.
Please do not approve this development.
