Aloha,
My name is Jason and I am in opposition to the proposed Punalu'u development in Ka'u.Punalu'u is home to rare
and endangered animals including hawksbill sea turtles,green sea turtles,Hawaiian monk seals,native bees and
black damselflies.Punalu'u is one of the few untouched places in Hawai'i and one of the very last breeding places
for the endangered Hawaiian hawksbill sea turtles. This project has the potential to create overdevelopment and a
rise in land taxes,forcing local people out. The development has great potential to pollute the ocean in the
surrounding area and it also impacts Hawaiian burial grounds.Emergencies like fires,tsunamis,earthquakes,and
volcanic eruptions have not been considered.Please do the right thing and stop this development from happening.
