Hello,
I am writing to oppose the proposed development in Punaluu,Ka'u of 225 residential and short-stay units,a
commercial center,retail shops,and a golf course.As one of the last remaining natural spaces in Hawai'i and home
to endangered native species,including the endangered Hawaiian hawksbill turtle,Punaluu should be protected,not
developed.In addition,this proposed development has the potential to cause overdevelopment,drive up costs,and
force current residents out. I do not agree with this proposal that benefits developers while endangering native
species and existing residents.
