Aloha Hawaii County Council,
I OPPOSE the proposed Development in Punalu'u Ka'u and its plans for 225 residential units
and short term units, commercial center and retail shops and golf course. Our Ohana are lineal
descendants of Ka'u and we do not want any more development which will restrict access to
our sacred places. We would like to have this Aina undisturbed and oppose any further
development to keep Punalu'u from being over run by tourism or unnecessary attractions for
recreational Luxury purposes by anyone who does not belong in this space, yes not everyone
belongs there. Just as not everyone belongs on our Mauna,just as not everyone belongs in
certain places in our Hawaii. We have reached out capacity to develop and Are over
developing what we have left. Our Iwi Kupuna or bones of our ancestors reside in this sacred
place as well as many other places which have already been tainted with desecration and that
we must protect our Kupuna. I OPPOSE ANY and ALL planned developments of this Land.
