My name is Amanda Kuhns.I live in Lahaina Maui.
I am a settler here in Hawaii. I am watching more and more developers and business folks bypass true wellness in
the name of profits.The goal is to constantly curate experiences for the middle class,wealthy and ultra-wealthy.
There is always a cost and it always is a cost to the same folks.
Do not displace and disrupt the land and her rightful stewards so that another golf course can be built,and the
service industry expanded to take advantage of workers so that those who will never appreciate nor care for the land
can discuss their"time"and"authentic"experience at the Black Sand beach.
It is unconscionable to consider this development and inflammatory to pretend there will be no cost or damage. We
are not stupid and you all need to act in accordance with anything higher than profits for the already stable for once.
Leave the land and her people alone.Let them golf in their dreams of at one of the other several courses in existence
already.This is a race and class issue.
Out of Aloha-Lahaina knows the cost too well
