Aloha auinala,
I am writing in opposition to the proposed Black Sand Beach,LLC development in Punalu'u.
The Ka'u district remains one of Hawaii's few unspoiled areas rich with native culture and nature conservation.
Development such as that proposed by said organization will bring unnecessary traffic to the area,effectively
damaging the native environment and causing undue burden to the natural resources. As a Kanaka Maoli with
ancestral ties to the land in Punalu'u,I oppose this development and respectfully ask the county to deny permitting
for this project.
