Subject: Testimony Against Punalu'u Proposed Development

The County of Hawaii Windward Planning Commissioners,
The Big Island and furthermore State of Hawaii does not need another monstrosity resort that continues to strip the
land from native Hawaiian's.These types of developments not only destroy natural habitats,further drive the
extinction of endangered species,but also continue to push local families out of the state with outrageous short term
rental properties.As a family born and raised on the Island of Hawaii we are extremely AGAINST any proposal of
commercial development in Punalu'u.
For once this state should prioritize their native species,people,and local economy.Not fill the pockets of large
corporations,resort chains,and out of state/country developers.This only feeds the problem the state faces now and
one day there will be no Hawaiian's left,no native species or beaches that make Hawaii,Hawaii.
