Most of our neighbors are full time residents either retired or in the working class. And are quiet neighbors whom respect others and enjoy the peace and quiet. But,unfortunately there are 3 vacation rental homes within a block of me that don't. One house can sleep up to 20 people with at least 4 vans that haul the people back and forth during the day and late into the night. They are loud because there are too many and feel entitled to"party!"They also have a swimming pool they hang out in yelling and screaming. I have often knocked on their doors to ask them to quiet down and their comment back is"we have paid a lot of money to stay here so have a right to enjoy ourselves". The neighbors and myself have had to call the police to quiet them down. The other 2 vacation rentals are also noisy and can be heard playing their loud music or shouting out in their drunken voices,or yelling out in their pools. They park along the streets because the houses don't have enough parking. Most of the owners of these STV's are from the Mainland and only into making money for themselves and could care less how it affects the neighborhood. We are in a state of emergency for locals looking for housing on the Island which we don't have because of vacation rentals. So our local people are having to leave their home and families and move out of State. Please stop ALL STVR's and give the housing back to residents.Mahalo Tory Holland Kailua Kona 808-324-4133 Sent from my iPhone
