I understand the concerns that have been raised regarding vacation rentals,but I urge the commission to consider the impact of these regulations on families like mine.The requirement for owners to navigate complex registration processes,invasive requirements,and potential loss of income due to restrictive measures could be devastating. I respectfully request that the Planning Commission consider the following recommendations to ensure that regulations are fair and do not disproportionately affect small property owners: Streamline the registration process and eliminate invasive requirements that place undue burden on property owners. Remove restrictions about where hosts live and where guests stay,as long as the owner is in the same building,on the same parcel,or on an adjacent parcel. Conduct an economic impact study to fully understand the implications of Bill 121 on families and the local economy. These measures would help protect the interests of small property owners like myself,who rely on vacation rentals as a significant source of income and financial security.
