Thanks for providing the additional information for this Use Permit. Upon review, it looks like you've
addressed the question of which activities occur during the proposed phases.
There is an interesting background issue with this property that needs to be cleared up in conjunction
with processing the requested Use Permit. Our records show that Waikoloa Baptist Church was built on
the neighboring parcel under an older use permit, USE 99, which originally included the 1.056 acres of
land that is now owned by Waikoloa Lutheran Church. There was a subdivision in 2013 that separated
the 1.056-acre parcel now owned by Waikoloa Lutheran Church (TMK 6-8-002:056)from the larger
parcel owned by Waikoloa Baptist Church (TMK 6-8-002:031). However, since USE 99 apparently still
includes TMK 6-8-002:056, Waikoloa Baptist needs to amend USE 99 to remove that parcel so that you
can move forward with the current use permit for that parcel.
Our recommendation to address this matter is for you or the applicant to request that Waikoloa Baptist
Church, or their authorized representative, provide a letter to our office requesting to remove TMK 6-8-
002:056 from USE 99.
Hopefully that makes sense, but feel free to reach out to me with any questions. I have attached USE 99
for your reference.

We have carefully reviewed your resubmitted Use Permit application and need the following additional
information to deem the application complete for acceptance:

1. The application lists several proposed activities (Sunday church services, after school program, &
evening related classes) and associated expected numbers of attendants, however, it does not
articulate during which phase of development these activities will take place. Please let us know
what phase of development you anticipate each proposed activity to occur and where. For
example, if you intend to offer evening classes after the first phase is complete, do you intend to
offer them in the sanctuary, outdoors, etc.
This information can be provided as a supplemental document uploaded through EPIC. Once we receive
it, we will finalize the application intake process.
