As a longtime resident of Honomu, I have witnessed the ebb and flow of our village's economic lifeblood.
Many businesses have come and gone, but the Hamakua Guesthouse has been a constant source of life
for out community. Imagine Honomu's quaint shops and cafes falling silent. Their windows and doors
boarded up. This is the grim reality we face if the Hamakua Guesthouse is denied it's special permit. The
guests they bring in are the heartbeats of our village. They fill our shops, cafes, and restaurants. They
keep local businesses afloat and our community vibrant. Denying this permit jeopardizes more than just a
business; it threatens the soul of Honomu. Please approve the Hamakua Guesthouse's special permit
and allow Honomu's heart to continue beating.
