The Applicant, Kaupulehu Land, LLC respectfully requests a deferral until Applicant's request of the
items#1 and #2 on the August 9, 2023 Leeward Planning Commission agenda, the State Land Use
District Boundary Amendment Petition (PL-SLU-2022-000008) and Change of Zone Application (PL-
REZ-22-000039) while Applicant continues to address the community's concerns which may include
slight modifications to its site plan.
Thank you for forwarding the HDOT response in writing to the Planning Department that HDOT does
not object to one new access to the commercial portion of the project from Mamalahoa Highway
and the removal of the "no access easement" at that point (while the residential agricultural lots
would continue to be accessed via an easement over Ishihara Farm Road which already has an
existing access onto Mamalahoa Highway). The Applicant received the same positive message from
H DOT.
Please let me know if you need anything further from the Applicant regarding the request for
deferral.
