My name is Carol Chavez. I have been a part of the Oceanview community for
25 years. When I met Pastor Pam and the Hope Dia-Mend family 9 years ago my
life hasn't been the same since. They've helped me find freedom from many things
that were meant to bring me down. Also since I've witnessed how this church has
reached out to the community, through food ministry events, holidays and even
house/hospital visitations to name a few. The people in this community have
changed for the good in so many ways. I've seen kindness restored, hope
restored, hard hearts soften. Even with the food program, I've watched it go from
dog eat dog to people preferring one another. This food ministry has helped many
who would have otherwise starved find physical food and spiritual food. Largely in
part from,the church coming and being a good influence to the community.
Please allow this land that's theirs to be used for church and things needed to
keep this community hopeful. Thanks for your time.
