NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE COUNTY OF HAWAIʻI DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE
REVISING ADMINISTRATIVE RULES RELATING TO THE PURCHASE OF MATERIALS, SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES Pursuant to Chapter 91 of the Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes and Chapter 19 of the Hawai‘i County
Code, notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Finance Director of the County of Hawai‘i for the purpose of proposed changes to the Finance Director Rules and Regulations pertaining to Rule 4, for the purchase of materials, supplies, equipment, and services. All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing to state their views regarding the proposed changes either orally or in writing. A public hearing solely for the purpose of taking public testimony on the proposed changes to the Finance Director Rules and Regulations will be held on: Date: Thursday, July 18, 2024 Time: 5:00 p.m. Location (in person): County of Hawaiʻi County Council Chambers – Hilo 25 Aupuni Street Hilo, HI 96720 Location (Zoom): See below for details Oral Public Testimony via Zoom (Note: if the Zoom connection is disrupted, the scheduled in-
person meeting will continue): To provide oral testimony via Zoom, email
cohfinance@hawaiicounty.gov or call (808) 961-8234 to complete the registration process and
obtain meeting login information. Please contact our office to register by 12:00 noon, Wednesday,
July 17, 2024. Submitting Written Testimony: To ensure timely delivery to the Finance Director
prior to the meeting, written testimony must be submitted no later than 12:00 noon on
Wednesday, July 17, 2024, by: (1) email to cohfinance@hawaiicounty.gov; (2) facsimile to (808)
961-8569; or (3) mail to the Director of Finance Office in Hilo at 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 2103
Hilo, Hawai‘i, 96720. All written testimony, regardless of time of receipt, will be made part of the
permanent record.
Copies of the proposed changes are also available at the Department of Finance, 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 2103, Hilo, Hawaiʻi, or by mail before the hearing, upon request. Cost of copies of $1.00 for the first page and $.10 for each additional page. Copies may be mailed to interested persons after payment of fees for copy and postage are received. Please call (808) 961-8234 to request copies. If you need an auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation due to a disability, call (808) 961-8234 as soon as possible, preferably by July 15, 2024. If a response is received after this date, every effort will be made to obtain the auxiliary aid/service or accommodation, but there is no
guarantee the request can be filled. Upon request, this notice is available in alternate formats such as large print, Braille, or electronic copy.
