From: Nancy Martin <br /> To: LPCtestimony <br /> Subject: Kaupulehu Land LLC application <br /> Date: Sunday,July 14,2024 12:23:10 PM <br /> As a resident of South Kohala,I am asking the Leeward Planning Commission to NOT NOT NOT approve <br /> Kaupulehu Land LLC's application for State Land Use Boundary Amendment from Agricultural to Rural and <br /> Change of Zone from an Agricultural-5 acre to Neighborhood Commerciall and Residential Agricultural(Agenda <br /> Items#3&#4,Applicant:Kaupulehu Land LLC)for the following reasons: <br /> This will create ugly urban sprawl in a beautiful country setting. <br /> I drive this road often and cannot imagine the congestion and traffic problems that development in that location <br /> would create. <br /> These agricultural lands must be protected as the 2005 General Plan intended. <br /> This development would push development further East of Waimea town and is inconsistent with the plans of the <br /> South Kohala CDP. <br /> Sincerely,Nancy Martin <br /> South Kohala,Hawai'i Island <br />
