As a resident of South Kohala,I am asking the Leeward Planning Commission to NOT NOT NOT approve
Kaupulehu Land LLC's application for State Land Use Boundary Amendment from Agricultural to Rural and
Change of Zone from an Agricultural-5 acre to Neighborhood Commerciall and Residential Agricultural(Agenda
Items#3,Applicant:Kaupulehu Land LLC)for the following reasons:
This will create ugly urban sprawl in a beautiful country setting.
I drive this road often and cannot imagine the congestion and traffic problems that development in that location
would create.
These agricultural lands must be protected as the 2005 General Plan intended.
This development would push development further East of Waimea town and is inconsistent with the plans of the
South Kohala CDP.
