Dear Honorable Commissioners:
I humbly recommend that the Leeward Planning Commission vote in favor of granting Ka'upulehu
Land LLC its request to
• RENEW Motion for a Favorable Recommendation of PL-SLU-2022-000008 based on the
Planning Director's Recommendation
• RESCIND Motion for Negative Recommendation on PL- REZ 2022-000039
• NEW MOTION for Favorable Recommendation of PL-REZ 2022-000039 based on the Planning
Director's Recommendation (including the proposed amendment to Condition G)
I have worked with John Metzler and Joni Metzler for over 35 years on various projects on the Island
of Hawaii. In all cases, they have demonstrated a high level of professionalism and regard for what's
best for all parties that were involve with the projects. They have acted honorably and have
produced some of the highest quality projects that have been built on this island.
They have followed 100% of the rules and regulations required for this Petition for Boundary
Amendment and Change of Zone application and I am confident that they will ensure any
forthcoming improvements to the property will be for the best interest of the Waimea Community
and Island.
