Dear Zendo Kern:
I am an Attorney as well as a former Per Diem District Court Judge. I am
interested in performing professional services for the County. I am applying for
inclusion in the Community Planning Land Ude Hearing Officer and Mediation
Services. I have worked as a Judge hearing many trials and motions and was
required to apply the law to facts as uncovered during these hearings. At the
present I also serve as a Labor Arbitrator through the Hawaii Labor Relations
Board. I have been selected as a Hearing Officer in prior matters.
I also worked for many years as an Attorney in both the Private and Public
Sectors all these skills are utilized in an investigation that is undertaken in a
specific area. I enclose a copy of my resume for your consideration. I will not
raise my rates this year and will charge at the rate posted in prior years, $175.00
per hour for hearing officer or mediation.
