In accordance with Section 25-2-4 of the Hawaii County Code, this written testimony is
being submitted regarding the proposal as stated abiove.
We, Darryl D. & Solefte Harvest Perry, are the owners of *1 6-4009 Oh ioh i Street (TM K
(3)1-6 019).
Our daughter Erin Loo and son, -In law, Richard Loo currently reside in the property with
their family.

Mowever, this present proposal increases the vehicular traffic on Ohiohi, wh!ic�h was n
included in the design of O!hi;ohi and Marnaka Streets. Bot�h existing streets a
constructed wiith: a 20 -foot wide travel lane and 15 -foot wide, paved shoulder within
50 -foot wide right of way. This would be the only ingress/egress (Marnaka) for A
existing subdivision and, will be the only ingress/egress for the new 23 -lot subdivisio
This proposal increases the concern of safety for the residents on Ohiohi in addiition
the new residents of the proposed expansion.
Many of the residents within the Ola Hlou subdivision are working families who own
least two (2) vehicles if not more. The majority of the families must travel to and fro
their home to their work site; schools or shopping and, there are no sidewalks availab
for the children who reside in Ola Hou that walk to Kea'au Elementary; Keaau Middl
?,nd across from Keaau High School. Additionally, to the South on the Old Kea'au-
Pah:oa Road is Punana Leoi o Hilo within their neighborhood. Since the students reside
near by, there is no bus transportation for these students.
Even: more problematic with this proposal is the ongoing discussions with Mawaiii Mealth
Systems Corporation and the, proposed medical clinic which would create even more
traffic congestion and concerns.
