Attorney at 655 Kilauea Avenue in Hilo. Committee members and members of the public may attend
either online, by telephone, or in-person.

I. CALL TO ORDER— Meeting called to order at 11:45am.
11. ROLL CALL - Shana, Farrah, Christina, Evelyn, Andrew, Christian, Rachel OPA,
Pomai Mayors Office, Inha Kandatsu Esq.
111. APPROVAL OF MINUTES for May 15, 2024 and August 7, 2024— Motion to
approve minutes by Andrew, Second Christina—All in favor YES
IV. TREASURER'S REPORT
A. Approval of Treasurer's Report - No formal report, Andrew provided verbal
overview. No expenditures so far for this year. Farrah motioned to approve
verbal report, Kahea 2nd all in favor. 11:53am.
V. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC - None
VI. CORRESPONDENCE — Event in August, Voter Education Booth Shana received
a thank you letter to share with CSW on this event.
VI1. REPORTS
A. Hawaii State CSW (HSCSW) liaison report— CSW on Oahu is moving forward
with interviews for a new Executive Director. Clarification was provided on open
positions statewide and process to fill them.
B. Family Violence Interagency Committee (FVIC)— Christina attended West
Hawaii, Vigil is set for 10/11 at St. Michaels Church on Alii Drive. CFS will plan
much of the event. Shana attended from Hilo they are still discussing specifics
of Hilo Vigil. Inha will report back to CSW on attending community meetings.

a. Decision-making: Real Women's Essay: Discussion on history of event and
direction moving forward. What is the will of the committee? — Tabled due
to time restraints on this meeting.
b. Nominations: Voting to be held at Wednesday, September 18, 2024 meeting.
—Voting process discussed and that CWS needs quorum on the September
meeting to hold elections.
