This is the notice of the availability for the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) pertaining to the
proposed Na`alehu Large Capacity Cesspool (LCC) Closure project located in the Ka`u District on the
island of Hawai`I, which is published in the September 8, 2024, issue of the Environmental Review
Program's The Environmental Notice. Written comments received in response to this Draft EA will be
considered in the preparation of the Final EA. The deadline for comments is October 8, 2024. The DEA is
available for review on the ERP Website at the following URL address:
