Leeward Planning Commission meeting, Thursday, September 19, 2024
I oppose Item #4. This is a serious HEALTH ISSUE FOR ME!!!!
I support Council Member Cindy Evans' proposed telecommunications ordinance, Bill 194,
which had already been forwarded to you. The new ordinance proposed by the Director is too
sympathetic to the telecommunications industry without protections for our people.
I OPPOSE:
-giving total power to Planning with no other agencies or experts involved!
-rushing the approval process to only 30 days!
-omitting provisions to protect us against 5G small cells!
- allowing towers at schools and day care centers!
Please consider Council Member Evans proposed ordinance which has clear, attainable
requirements. It is a start to balancing between the health, safety and welfare needs of the
people and the needs of the tech industry.
I SUPPORT:
-researching technology that can make this new expanded EMF tech world work
synergistically with our human, animal and plant bodies instead of damaging life. there is such
technologies that can be installed with cell towers, etc to modify the frequency making it
human friendly. Let's get on that and make it a requirement when new tech is installed.
