I am a Biofeedback Specialist. My FDA approved medical device is very sophisticated, used
by NASA as well as olympic athletes. I help people with many different health complaints
ranging from pain (migraines, back, neck, etc.) and hormone imbalances, depression,
addiction and allergies to simple complaints of sleeplessness. Many people are sensitive to
frequencies emitted from electrical power lines, transformers, cell and telecom towers.
The EMFs and radiation are measurable on the medical device and show impairments.
There is a palpable feeling of anxiousness and anxiety added to our lives. There is more anger
and impatience. Many people moved to the middle of the Pacific Ocean to get away from
"civilization". We want clean water and air. This type of environmental pollution needs to be
reined in. More thought given about protection from telecom towers and for radiation
prevention, especially for our children. There are engineering solutions available given by
people smarter than I.
I oppose Item #4 because I support Council Member Cindy Evans' proposed
telecommunications ordinance, Bill 194, which had already been forwarded to you. The new
ordinance proposed by the Director is too sympathetic to the telecommunications industry
with not enough protections for our community.
It gives almost total power to Planning and Telecom with no other agencies or experts
involved! It rushes the approval process to only 30 days! It has no provisions to protect us
against 5G small cells! It freely allows towers at schools, playgrounds and day care centers!
Please consider Council Member Evans proposed ordinance which has clear, attainable
requirements. It is the perfect balance between the health, safety and welfare of the people and
the needs of the tech industry.
