My name is Fay Kalei Kailikini, reside at Hilo, Hawaii. I represent my Ohana -
Purdy, Lindsey, Kaanapu, Sakuma, Enos to name a few. I have been researching 5G
since 2017 and watched as the Telecommunication companies have overtaken the
US governments at all levels. Hawaii is unique as the US government admitted to
overthrowing the Hawaiian Kingdom. What is the significance of the theft? It
explains why our elected officials listen to the federal government, the FCC, FDA,
FAA, CDC, etc. WHEN these corporations can make more money. Why is it that
the concerned, activist public know the answers to the dangerous of 5G & the
elected officials, the Commissioners, & government employees do not? One elected
official - Cindy Evans is doing something working with the constituents. Who is
this Planning Director intervening for the Telecommunication companies? Here are
my reasons for NOT allowing the Planning Director to be responsible for the health
& safety of Hawaii County’s residents & all of the people of Hawaii:
1. Under Mayor Kim; Roy Takemoto, Managing Director; Director of Planning,
Michael Yee and the Council Members: Chung, David, Eoff, Kaneali’i-Kleinfelder,
Kierkiewicvz, Lee Loy, Poindexter, & Villegas all voted, except Richards to pass
Resolution No. 678-20 (Reference: C-986/PC)
“A RESOLUTION CALLING UPON ALL TELECOMMUNICATIONS
COMPANIES AND PUBLIC UTILITIES OPERATING IN Hawaii County TO
CEASE THE BUILDOUT OF 5G WIRELESS INFRASTRUCTURE UNTIL
SUCH TECHNOLOGIES HAVE BEEN PROVEN THROUGH INDEPENDENT
RESEARCH AND TESTING TO BE SAFE TO HUMAN HEALTH AND THE
ENVIRONMENT.
2. Brain Cancer has risen since 1995. Several cases of brain cancer victims were
confirmed to be caused by EMFs or ElectroMagnetic Frequencies emitted by the
cell phone towers, cell phones, WiFi’s, microwave ovens, iPads, computers,
SMART meters, BlueTooth, SMART appliances, & more. 5G are higher degrees of
EMFs, therefore, brain cancers will become an epidemic IF not controlled by the
people & the government we supposedly elect to protect us.
3. The Telecommunications companies admitted they have NOT done any studies
on the effects/dangers of EMFs. The FCC or Federal Communications Commission,
a federal agency representing the federal government supposedly representing the
people, but evidently they advocate for these Telecommunications companies as
stated & reminded by “Tracy” an employee who read item #8 changes by the
current Planning Director Hawaii County to the Planning Commissioners on Sept.
5, 2024 at the Hilo Hawaii County Council Chambers, 25 Aupuni St., Hilo, HI
96720 after approx. 2:30pm. She reminded the Commission that the FCC has the
final say. Also, the FCC admitted they have NOT conducted any long term safety
testing of new 5G wireless technologies, and has failed to update its human RF
microwave radiation exposure guidelines since 1996!!! Despite being advised to do
so by the U.S. General Accounting Office, the American Academy of Pediatrics,
and hundreds of medical and scientific experts from around the world.
4. There are thousands of studies worldwide that have linked wireless exposure to
the following health problems such as weakened immune system & autoimmune
disease; Heart problems; neurological disorders; reproductive damage; CANCER,
especially brain cancer; eye & ear problems; sleep disorders; fatigue; abnormal
blood pressure; joint pain; digestive problems; decreased cell growth; affects
children’s memory, attention & motor function; cognitive impairment, muscular
pains; headaches, dizziness; irritability; weakness; & more. One of the areas I am
researching are dementia & Alzheimer’s because the EMF affect the brain i.e. brain
cancers & is listed under neurological disorders, not being specific to name it
dementia or Alzheimer’s.
5. The Planning Director for Hawaii County wants to allow Telecommunications
companies not require permits & amend the standards. I am angry & disappointed
to realize that Hawaii County very easily forgot Lahaina, Maui. I know that the
residents of Lahaina who survived that destruction were NOT issued any permits to
rebuild their homes! In fact very very few permits were given to these residents
after over 1 yr. & this information was given by Maui’s State Representative, who
has been fighting to get Lahaina residents to build roofs over their heads, not remain
homeless. The elected officials do very little to STOP homelessness in Hawaii. This
is a perfect example of how Hawaii County Planning Director can allow NO
PERMITS necessary so that these Telecommunication companies can build cell
phone towers, & in contrast Maui County is NOT giving permits for residents to
build homes. Confirms that government provides help & assistance immediately to
Telecommunications companies, who make billions of dollars with that help. The
people cannot even build their homes as I know for a fact that Counties throughout
the State of Hawaii are infamous for long delays in giving permits to people to build
homes. You don’t need a cell phone tower to survive, but you do need a house
which most often is a loving, warm, caring shelter for families.
In closing - my question to elected officials, Planning Director, Planning
Commissioners, the Mayor, County Council Members & others in government DO
YOU EVEN CARE? If I can get these studies on the dangers of EMFs & 5G, you
can do the same. It appears that you do not care about the people & you forget that
you and your families are just as much in danger as myself. We are suppose to
protect our children, but after testifying numerous times about the dangers of 5G to
you in government, I am left wondering if you have children of your own or if you
even care. We are allowed 3 minutes to testify hoping to alert those who will not
research & explain why we do not support the continuation of building the 5G
infrastructures WITHOUT STUDIES. Since our testimonies are not working, we
must investigate other methods to hold people accountable for failing to protect our
health and safety, which is written in the County Charter for Hawaii Island as an
obligation & duties. Again, the question becomes …..DO YOU EVEN CARE?
