Timeline for'25 Stewardship Grants
Current
• Commissioners have received the grant applications and can begin reviewing them.
• Property Management is reviewing applications and preparing preliminary reports.
November 8, 2024
• Property Management will provide a summary of reports and scoring sheets to
commissioners.
November 15, 2024(Noon)
• Scoring sheets due to Property Management. (these scores are PRELIMINARY and
can be revised during/after the November meeting)
November 18, 2024—PONC Meeting in Kona (9:00 AM)
• 20-minute Q&A session between the commission and each applicant. Property
Management will notify applicants of their scheduled times, and the list of
applicants with their respective Q&A times will be agendized for this meeting
• After Q&A, commissioners will discuss the applications, no further discussions with
applicants during this time.
• Commissioners may vote on applications during this meeting if enough information
is available, or they may defer voting to the January meeting if more information is
needed.
• Vote for Chair and Vice Chair for the upcoming year.
November 22, 2024
• Commissioners' questions or clarification requests for applicants are due to
Property Management.
November 27, 2024
• Property Management will forward all questions or clarification requests to
applicants.
December 20, 2024
• Deadline for applicants to submit final information requested by commissioners or
required by Charter/Code to Property Management.

PONC 2025 Stewudship Grant Timeline 10.07.2024
January 7, 2025
• Applicant additional/final information will be sent to the commission along with the
agenda for the January 13 meeting.
January 13, 2025—PONC Meeting in Hilo(Start time TBD)
• Final vote to approve remaining applications. All applications not approved by the
commission will be sent a denial letter and will be encouraged to apply next year.
January 31, 2025
• Letter from PONC to Finance Director to recommend grant awards is due.
March 18, 2025
• Council Committee meeting for communication and resolutions (1 st reading).
April 2, 2025
• Council meeting for 2nd reading of resolutions.
April 2—May 31, 2025
• Execution of contracts.
July 1, 2025
• 2025 Grant Contracts begin.
