Experti s e Inte ll i g e nce Respons e Kroll Experts •Ira Levy • ASSOCIATE MANAGING DIRECTOR, CYBER RISK •Ira Levy is an Associate Managing Director in the Cyber Risk practice, based in Washington D.C. He leverages more than 20 years of experience in the both the public and private information technology sector, working within telecommunications, software development and managed services. •Prior to joining Kroll, Ira served as the executive director of the administrative modernization program at the University of Maryland. Before that, he held the title of chief operating officer at Affiniti, a national telecommunications and managed services company. Additionally, he previously served as CEO of Torrential Systems and both the chief performance officer and chief information officer at Howard County Government in Maryland. •One of his notable achievements includes leading the deployment of the One Maryland Inter-County Broadband Network (ICBN), which received a $115 million federal grant and was acknowledged by the White House for innovation and impact. Ira has also participated in numerous associations and boards, including the University of Maryland’s Presidential 5G/6G Advisory committee, Broadband Council board member, past board member of Mid-Atlantic CIO forum, and founding board member of the Howard County Tech Council. •Frank Marano •ASSOCIATE MANAGING DIRECTOR, CYBER RISK••Frank Marano is an Associate Managing Director with the Cyber Risk practice of Kroll, based in the Secaucus office. Frank is a highly skilled information security professional, with over 20 years of experience leading and implementing cutting-edge technologies and IT strategy, particularly in the healthcare information technology sector. Frank is part of the practice’s information risk management team, which provides services that include, but are not limited to, network and application penetration testing, vulnerability testing, social engineering, cybersecurity risk assessments, threat analysis and monitoring, incident response, and training for boards of directors, executives, and staff. •Prior to joining Kroll, Frank was Chief Technology Officer for Holy Name Medical Center, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology department, managing over 20 employees. Frank also served as the Medical Center’s Chief Information Security Officer, Senior Systems Engineer, and Project Manager as part of his role as CTO. He oversaw the Medical Center’s systems infrastructure, communications systems, business continuity, audiovisual systems, nurse call and helpdesk. Frank joined the Medical Center in 1995 and rose through the ranks into progressively more responsible information technology roles, including Systems Infrastructure Director and Systems Administrator. •Lucie Hayward CISSP, PMP, CISA •ASSOCIATE MANAGING DIRECTOR, CYBER RISK •Lucie Hayward is a associate managing director with Kroll’s Cyber Risk practice, based in the Nashville office. With certifications from leading cyber security and project management organizations, Lucie has wide-ranging experience in project management, security administration, security awareness and training, and incident response. In her current role, she manages incident response, forensics, and consulting projects for Kroll’s clients. Lucie additionally advises clients on best practices in incident response planning with the goal of improving their ability to detect and respond to a cyber incident. She also frequently plans and executes tabletop exercises to assist clients in validating and testing their plans. •As a PMP-certified project manager, Lucie has handled large-scale projects spanning multiple vendors and clients. Prior to joining Kroll, she managed projects for such large organizations as Target Corporation, Hershey, and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. •Lucie has been a volunteer with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for several years and is the former President of the PMI Nashville chapter. She frequently speaks on project management, leadership, and incident response planning. •John “Jack” Bennett •MANAGING DIRECTOR, CYBER RISK •John (Jack) Bennett is a managing director in the Cyber Risk practice of Kroll, based in the San Francisco office. He leverages over 25 years of experience, which includes leading the third and sixth largest FBI field divisions where he focused on providing investigative and intelligence support to various FBI teams and governments globally. Jack’s significant responsibilities include coordinating with large enforcement agencies, providing investigative assistance and developing policies and programs for federal and global government agencies. Having led a variety of complex investigations throughout his distinguished career, Jack’s expertise includes matters related to global security, trust and safety, privacy, risk management, cyber incident response and insider threats. •Prior to joining Kroll, Jack was the Assistant Director in Charge leading the FBI Los Angeles Field Division, the third largest FBI field division, with a staff of 1500 and 120 management personnel. Prior to Los Angeles, Jack was the Special Agent in Charge leading the FBI San Francisco Field Division, the sixth largest FBI field division, with a staff of 800. He was also the Chairman of the Special Agents in Charge (SAC) Advisory Board, reporting to the FBI Director •In his previous roles, Jack worked as the Domestic Director of National Intelligence in the Pacific region, where he led the integration and coordination of federal, state, local and tribal intelligence strategy in the region. He also engaged top private sector tech companies to ensure their views were in the comprehensive threat analysis of the region. Additionally, he chaired the coordination of all U.S. government agencies intelligence capabilities within the region. •Jeff Macko CISSP, MCSE, MCTS, AWS SAA •ASSOCIATE MANAGING DIRECTOR, CYBER RISK •Jeff Macko is an Associate Managing Director in Kroll’s Cyber Risk practice,based in the Secaucus office. Jeff is an accomplished manager and practitioner, with over 25 years of experience in information technology and security. •He has designed, implemented, managed, and secured information systems and networks for a wide variety of industries, with substantial experience in financial services, biotechnology, software development, and e-commerce. Jeff also has significant expertise in identifying risks for systems and networks running in virtualized and cloud-based environments. Jeff partners with Kroll’s clients to identify risks to their information security programs and provides remediation guidance through risk assessments, penetration testing, technical controls reviews, vulnerability assessments, code review, and social engineering exercises. •Prior to joining Kroll in 2016, Jeff led complex, often ground-breaking information technology initiatives for B2B and consumer companies that included SlickEdit Inc., AssetMark Investment Services, Inc., SelfCare.com, LXR Biotechnology Inc., and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
