Table R802.11 only provides information for rafters having a maximum overhang of 2 feet. Be aware that these tables are based upon the following assumptions: Roof pitch < 5:12. Where the roof pitch >/= to 5:12, the tabulated uplift values will be conservative. Exposure C (or B) and a maximum 33-foot mean roof height are assumed. Rafter spacing of 24”. For rafter spacing of 48”, double the tabulated uplift values. This memo is not intended to address roof trusses. The tabulated uplift values include an allowance for roof and ceiling assembly dead load of 15 psf. Linear interpolation between tabulated roof spans and wind speeds shall be permitted. The intent of this memo is to provide a prescriptive solution for 2018 IRC Section R802.11.1.2 and thus these tables may be utilized for selecting the appropriate uplift connector without the need for engineering calculations.
