I support Bill 194. There are many talking points involved with the benefits of this bill. I am
speaking to the one that would require Hawaii to regulate cell towers locations with regard to
the community needs. There are many residents that have health issues from living too close
to a tower. I believe that the dangers must be included in the conversations and studies should
be required around where these towers are placed.
I am a person who is sensitive to cell tower radiation. I do everything I can within my home
to reduce the harm. I know there are many who have made this connection and many more
who have symptoms and haven’t yet made the connection. This is a big conversation that
needs to happen before more towers are installed.
Please support Bill 194 because it reflects what we, the people, want. Council
Member Evans introduced the bill in response to the needs of the community. It
includes 5G small wireless facilities which must be regulated. Hawaii county already
passed a resolution to halt 5G. Bill 194 follows up on that by providing necessary
regulations that include 5G small cells.
Thank you for your consideration on this very important humanitarian issue that includes all
residents of Hawaii.
