Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following matters to be considered by the County of HawaiTs Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission (PONC) in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 91 and 92, Hawaii Revised Statutes, the Hawaii County Code Section 2-215, and the Commission's Rules of Practice and Procedure (amended May 2023). Public Participation: This is an in-person meeting and the Commissioners will participate in person. Members of the public wishing to participate may either attend in person, giving oral or written testimony, or may submit written testimony prior to the meeting's commencement. To ensure timely delivery of your testimony to the Commissioners prior to the meeting, please submit written testimony no later than 12:00 noon two business days prior to the meeting, by (1) email to oonctestimonyCaD-hawaiicounty.aov, (2) by mail to PONC Commission at 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 1101, Hilo, Hawai'i 96720, or(3) by fax to (808) 961-8248 attention PONC testimony. Testimony may also be provided either in writing or orally at the in-person meeting. All written testimony, regardless of time of receipt, will be made part of the permanent record. Please submit separate written testimony for each agenda item, clearly identifying each agenda item the testimony addresses. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, or other accommodation due to a disability, please contact the Property Management Division at (808) 961-8069 and/or PONC@hawaiicounty.gov as soon as possible. If a request is received later than five business days prior to the meeting date, we will try to obtain the auxiliary aid/service or other accommodation, but we cannot guarantee that the request will be fulfilled. NEW BUSINESS: 1. 2025 Stewardship Grant Applications—The Commission will conduct interviews with applicants (approximately 20 minutes per applicant),followed by commissioner-only discussions to include the review and adjusting scoring as necessary before voting to either recommend approval or defer the recommendation to the next meeting.
