HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-11-19 Letter from Applicant on Modifiations to Orignal Plans LAND'* ;y 194 Wiwoole St. Hilo, HI 96720 PLANNING (808) 333-3393 info@landplanninghawaii.com HAWAII LLC November 19, 2024 Ms. Barbara DeFranco, Chair Leeward Planning Commission COUNTY OF HAWAII 101 Pauahi Street Hilo, HI 96720 Dear Ms. DeFranco: Subject: Updates to Mysin Special Management Area Permit Application (SMA 21-000078) Applicant: Jekaterina Mysin Puapuaa 2nd, South Kona, Hawaii, TMK: (3) 7-5-020: 066 Since the initial submittal of the subject application in 2021 there have been several modifications to the original plans as a result of mediation with neighbors of the project. • Pool has been reduced in size and limited to SW corner of property • All parking is now provided in a garage beneath building • Bike racks have been added • Paved drop off area provided on property along Alii Drive • Top floor eliminated and converted to rooftop deck • Building height reduced from 44'10" to <35' including rooftop glass safety railing • Exterior of building will not be steel or mirrored glass and will be a combination of siding, stucco and stone • Window AC units will not be used • The proposed arrangement of parking spaces in the basement garage had to be modified to incorporate structural columns required by engineering reviews (2023 Revision). • The proposed paved drop-off area was modified to connect to the main project driveway leading to the parking garage (2023 Revision).
