Call to Order Chairman O’Loughlin called the meeting to order. 2. Roll Call Chairman O’Loughlin called the roll and there was quorum to hold the meeting. 3. Welcome and Introductions 4. Approval of Minutes from December 9, 2022 This item was deferred to the next meeting. 5. Public Statements on Agenda Items An opportunity for public testimony was provided. 6. New Business A. Review taxicab application for NEW Certificate of Public Convenience & Necessity to operate in the County of Hawai’i. 1. Chad Lyman or Randy Lucero on behalf of R & L Taxi & Tours, Hilo A motion was made and seconded to approve this application. This motion passed. 2. Rodolfo Palilio on behalf of Kristine Taxi, Hilo A motion was made and seconded to approve this application. This motion passed. 3. Cindy Perreira on behalf of Z-Taxi, Kona A motion was made and seconded to approve this application. This motion passed. 4. Edsel V Gaces on behalf of Waikoloa Taxi Service A motion was made and seconded to approve this application. This motion passed. 5. Leo Esteban on behalf of Hope Taxi, Hilo A motion was made and seconded to approve this application. This motion passed. 6. Rhoniel Arenas on behalf of Kauden Taxi, Kona A motion was made and seconded to approve this application. This motion passed. 7. Weixia Ye on behalf of Sunny Taxi & Tours A motion was made and seconded to approve this application. This motion passed. B. Hearing on revocation of the following Certificate of Public Conveniences due to the discontinuance by the carrier of the business of transporting passengers as a common carrier of passengers operating upon and using the public highways for a period of thirty (30) consecutive days or more or failure to renew his/her taxicab license for the year. -No revocations was reported. 7. Next Meeting, Agenda Items for Next Meeting & Meeting Cadence for 2024 Next meeting to be determined. 8. Adjournment Meeting adjourned.
