I am extremely concerned about and oppose the new ordinance proposal (item #8) as
I have been poisoned by microwave radiation from cell towers and smart grids to the
point I have had to uproot and moved several times in order to flee this onslaught
over the past decade. Since being personally affected I have learned there are
millions like me struggling with the same and I have spent years researching into the
biological harmful impacts of these exposures which affect all biological life. This
continued unchecked proliferation of these antennas and towers represents a huge
threat to the health of our world and one another. Please see emf-portal.org for
access to tens of thousands of studies proving harm from artificial electromagnetic
fields/wireless radiation.
I support Council Member Cindy Evans' proposed telecommunications ordinance, Bill
194, which had already been forwarded to you. The new ordinance proposed by the
Director is too sympathetic to the telecommunications industry with not enough
protections for our community.
It allows for towers and antennas in ALL zoning districts with NO permitting process
and not enough requirements. It gives total power to Planning with no other agencies
involved.
Please consider Council Member Evans proposed ordinance which has clear,
attainable permit requirements. It is the perfect balance between the health, safety
and welfare needs of the people and the needs of the tech industry.
