Aloha:
I oppose Item #4 because it gives too much power to the Planning Commission with no other agencies or
experts involved. It has no provisions to protect us against 5G small cells! It allows towers at schools and
day care centers! It rushes the approval process to only 30 days!
I support Council Member Evans proposed ordinance instead, which has clear, attainable requirements. It is
the perfect balance between the health, safety and welfare needs of the people and the needs of the tech
industry.
Council Member Cindy Evans' proposed telecommunications ordinance, Bill 194, has already been
forwarded to you.
The new ordinance #4 proposed by the Director sides with the criminal telecommunications industry that
stole Billions of dollars of federal funds that were supposed to be used to install fiber broadband Internet
service to every home in the United States to instead set up cell towers. The industry has proven that it can
not be trusted therefor our community needs oversight and protections to stop further criminal activities.
Please OPPOSE #4 !!
