The meeting can be viewed live online or at the location listed below. DATE:Thursday, February 13, 2025 TIME: 2:00 PM LOCATION: Hilo Planning Department Conference Room 101 Pauahi Street, Suite 3, Hilo, HI 96720 INTERACTIVE CONFERENCE TECHNOLOGY (ICT): Banyan Drive Hawai`i Redevelopment Agency Members will participate in this meeting via the Zoom interactive video conference platform. The public will be able to view and listen to the meeting at: https://www.youtube.com/@cohplanningdepartment/streams. Testimony may be given upon registering via the Zoom link, or at the in-person location provided. Minutes of the Banyan Drive Hawai`i Redevelopment Agency meeting will be summarized and posted on the Planning Department’s website. CALL TO ORDER Approval of Addendum and/or Supplemental Agenda (requires four (4) votes and must comply with HRS § 92-7(d)). STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC – Pursuant to HRS 92-3 interested persons that want to provide oral testimony may do so either at the time the board takes public statements on the agenda or at the time the specific agenda item is called or as otherwise allowed at the sole discretion of the Chair. 1 BUSINESS OF THE AGENCY 1. Invited Karen Teshima from the Office of the Mayor to provide an update related to Banyan Drive. 2. Decision on Agency’s Position Regarding HB 818 RELATING TO THE WAIAKEA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT. Establishes the Waiakea Peninsula Community Development District. Decision on Agency’s Position Regarding SB 1078 RELATING TO THE WAIAKEA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT. Establishes the Waiakea Peninsula Community Development District. ADJOURNMENT Submitting Written Testimony: Written testimony may be submitted 24 hours prior to the meeting by email to planning@hawaiicounty.gov. Mail or hand deliver written testimony to Hilo Planning Department at each item. Optional Alternative to Provide Remote Oral Testimony: The public may provide verbal testimony at the meeting location provided or by joining Zoom. A lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” \[Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawai‘i County Code\].
