FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 1, 2025 Road Closure Notice for Kapiolani Street The Department of Public Works Traffic Division will be performing street light foundation and sidewalk work on Kapiolani Street. To accommodate this work, a road closure will be in effect as follows: Location: Kapiolani Street northbound lane, from Lanikaula Street to the Hospice of Hilo at 590 Kapiolani Street. Date: Thursday, April 3, 2025
Time: 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM Traffic Impact: No through traffic northbound at Lanikaula Street.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and to exercise caution when traveling in the area. Pedestrian access will be maintained where possible. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your
