Date: Tuesday,April 1,2025 8:23:40 AM Aloha, Chair Danielle and Commissioners- I live in Hilo in the residential zone and I think it is unfair that a use permit is not required in every zone for Meeting Facilities, for compelling government reasons-- to protect our residential neighborhoods from the adverse effects of Meeting Facilities-- creating road congestion and affecting delivery of emergency services. Adding an exemption for gatherings of 25 attendees twice a week in the residential zones is even more unfair to the neighbors. There would be no plan approval, parking requirements, no hours of operation, and no technical review by the County Department of Public Works, County Fire Department, County Water Department and/or the State Department of Health for compliance with current code and rule requirements. Adding the definition of "Event" without requiring a conditional use permit is wrong. Can events be held in the residential zone, next door to me? Thank you for your time. Adriana E.
