Dear Madam or Sir:
This is Kazi Family Hawaii, LLC's, located at 75-6081 Ali'i Drive, Unit 4R203, Kailua-Kona,
HI 96740, testimony addressed to the Commission for the hearing scheduled for May 15, 2025
for the above captioned Permit.
1. Will there be any roadway barricades and where will they be placed from the Ali'i Lani
community condominiums ("Location")?
2. Will there be construction vehicles dedicated to the construction passing by the Location?
If so, how much more than from the time before the construction begins? Will this cause
congestion of traffic in front of the Location?
3. Will there be an increase in noise or repetitive noise, like pounding, construction trucks or
the like, that can be heard at the Location?
4. Will there be any major dirt or dust issues across the Location?
5. Will there be any blockage of any of the Location entrances or exits for any period of time
due to the construction?
6. Please send us a video of the surrounding area, including the Location and the
construction area showing both sides of the street.
7.What is the planned construction schedule from the date this Special Permit is issued
to the completion of the construction, and how will it affect the Location as to access
during daily hours? Who will update this schedule on a weekly basis?
8. Will there be road closures or detours around the Location?
9. Will there be phases of work stoppage? For what reasons and when?
10. Will construction equipment be parked at or near the Location for any reason?
Explain those reasons.
11. What will be done to mitigate dust, dirt, and debris from the construction site?
12. Will there be any changes to parking availability or access to the Location at any time
during the construction?
13. How will you handle the removal or addition of existing infrastructure (e.g.,
sidewalks, curbs)that may impact the Location?
14. Are there any plans to change traffic flow patterns near the Location?
15. Will any temporary structures (e.g., barriers, fences) potentially block the Location,
the All'i road or entrances or exits to the Location?
16.Will there be interruptions to utility services (e.g., water, electricity, internet) that
could disrupt the Location?
17. How will the County of Hawaii manage traffic flow during peak business hours to
prevent congestion around the Location?
18. What steps will be taken to ensure the safety of the residents of the Location during
construction?
19. Who, by name, title, phone and email are the responsible parties controlling the
construction site?
20. Who, by name, title, phone and email are the responsible parties of the construction
site for the County of Hawaii? Is this who we can request information, make comments
or complaints and obtain weekly schedules?
21. Will there be any disruptions to delivery services for residents at or near the
Location?
22. Are there any environmental issues that the residents of the Location need to be
concerned about with the construction?
23. How will the County of Hawaii communicate progress updates and potential
disruptions with the residents at the Location during and or due to construction?
24. Will residents at the Location have beach access across the construction site during
construction? Will resdents be offered transportation to other beach access sites if the
construction site is closed during construction?
25.Are there plans to improve accessibility or pedestrian walkways around the
construction site?
