I suggest you add the underlined language:
when deemed appropriate by the director, other means of description
selected from a list of means previously approved by County Council
may be used
Otherwise, a Director might choose an inappropriate method. For example, new technologies can
have
unforeseen consequences:
"A New York federal judge sanctioned lawyers who submitted a legal brief written by the artificial
intelligence tool ChatGPT, which included citations of non-existent court cases" and the lawyers,
Peter LoDuca and Steven Schwartz, were fined $5,000 each.

A Director might also choose a method which favors special interests and does not benefit the
community at large.
