APPROVAL OF MINUTES May 29, 2025,regular session. FIRE CHIEF’S REPORT State of Department and Highlights Budget Human Resources Emergency OperationsDivision Support ServicesDivision Capital Improvements Chief’s Briefing UNFINISHED BUSINESS The commission will review and discuss the process and guidelines for Fire Commissioners visiting stations. Discussion on the development and implementation of an evaluation process in which department employees provide feedback on the performance of the department head. NEW BUSINESS The commission will review, discuss, and may approve the 2024 Annual Fire Commission Report. Review of the Fire Chief’s performance evaluation form. Correspondence No. 25-01: Letter from the H regarding recent promotions. AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS The commission’s next monthly meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2025,at 9:00 a.m., at the County Building, Council Chambers, Suite1401, 25 Aupuni St., Hilo, HI. ADJOURNMENT Submitting Testimony:Those wishing to testify in person should register with the Commission Secretary at the meeting. Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring 10 copies for distribution. Testimony may be submitted by (1) mail to Fire Commission 101 Pauahi St., Suite 9, Hilo, HI 96720; or (2) by email to Charisse.Correa@hawaiicounty.gov. Please submit separate testimony for each item. All oral and written testimony will be public record. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai‘i County Clerk within five Notice to Lobbyists: days of becoming a lobbyist \[Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawai‘i County Code\]. A lobbyist means “any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” \[Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawai‘i County Code\] Registration forms and expenditure report documents are available at the Office of the County Clerk, 25Aupuni St., Room 1402, Hilo.
