The meeting shall be automatically recessed for up to thirty (30) minutes to restore communication
when audiovisual communication cannot be maintained with all members participating in the meeting
and with the in-person location identified in this agenda. The meeting may reconvene when either
audiovisual communication is restored, or audio -only communication is established after an
unsuccessful attempt to restore audiovisual communication. If it is not possible to reconvene the
meeting as provided in this section within thirty (30) minutes after an interruption to communication, the
meeting shall be automatically terminated.

A. Jennifer Stotter, Ex-Officio member of the Hawaii Commission on the Status of
Women (HSCSW), to provide updates and announcements
VIII. NEW BUSINESS
A. Planning for upcoming events:
1. Women's Equality Day in August.
B. Discussion on ways to improve membership and attendance at Committee on the
Status of Women meetings. Ideas on how to accomplish community outreach
initiatives to bolster participation at meetings.
C. Review October 16, 2019 CSW Operating Guidelines. Discussion on whether it should
be updated.
D. Strategic Planning: how to use Social Medica Platforms and Survey Forms to build and
achieve a connection between the Big Island community and committee.
IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS
A. Discussion on alternating quarterly meetings in person vs Zoom to build relationships of
committee members and meet participants.
B. Next meeting: Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 11:30 p.m. via Zoom
C. Secretary position is still open if anyone is interested.
