Kailua Kona does not benefit from any additional shoreline development. This project, in various incarnations, has been going on since 2003. You do know the owners from Texas and Arizona tried and failed to sell this property for $2.5 Million in 2023?Is this application another attempt to get an extension (in a slightly different incarnation) to try to sell it to outside investors again? The original project was opposed by the community in 2003, and it remains opposed now- for the same reasons and more. Sea level rise, tsunami, water use, sewer impacts, developments that do not provide affordable housing, traffic, to name just a few. Please say no to any and all additional shoreline development.
