Residential units will include single and multifamily units throughout the site. A 120- room University Inn is also planned along with a pedestrian friendly commercial core at the University Village. Planned with the adjacent University of Hawai‘i Center at West Hawai‘i, the project will have shared infrastructure and spaces reserved for university use. Buildings will follow principles of sustainable design and an integrated natural and cultural resources management plan will be implemented. VIC and wastewater treatment were issues addressed in the planning. Mauka/makai and mid-elevation roadway issues were important considerations.
