MORRIS/PL-REZ-2025-000083 Date: Monday,September 1,2025 11:11:23 PM To the gentle people at the Windward Planning Commission: Re: Opposition to Rezoning Request to CV-20 (Commercial, Village— 20,000 sq. ft. minimum lot size) PL-REZ-2025-000083 Applicant: William Cox Morris TMK: (3) 1-9-005:006 (portion) • The location of this lot is outside of the intended commercial zone as designated in the Puna Community Development Plan (PCDP) and the Volcano Community Development Plan (VCDP)2015. • If this rezone to CV-20 is allowed to go forward, that will set a precedent for the neighboring lot owners to apply for Commercial rezoning. This type of development would bring pin-to-pin clearing of the native ohi'a forest and large areas of paving for parking lots on the Old Volcano Highway frontage. • Thus I respectfully request that the lot rezone request be denied.
