Comm 25-034
From: Galimba, Michelle M.
To: Kekai. Malia; Braman.Eva
Cc: Pedro.Shavamae; Loa. DeEtte(Kea)
Subject: County Council Ad Hoc Committee at PONC Nov 10 Meeting
Date: Monday,November 3,2025 2:30:21 PM
Aloha Malia and Eva,
I apologize for waiting until so late to reach out however I wondered if it would be possible to
provide some questions that the Ad Hoc Committee would like to explore with the PONC
Commission next Monday? I'll understand if I've waited a little too late for this but was
wondering if we could provide these questions as a communication to the Commission to add
to their packets or have available at the meeting?
Essentially the relevant question that the Ad Hoc Committee was formed to explore is:
1 Are there any changes to the County Code or Charter that can help the PONC acquisition
process function more effectively? 2. Relatedly, are there changes to the Code or Charter that
can help the PONC Commission to function more effectively? 3.Are there other ways that the
Council can help the Commission in making the acquisition process be more efficient,
transparent and/or timely?
My office could write up a communication if you think that would work best. Or I could just
show up at the meeting next Monday in Kona with a handout, if that is easier. Thanks!
Michelle M.
