PROPOSED OPERATING BUDGET AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET

CALL TO ORDER — Chairperson Mukai called the Public Hearing to order at 9:45 a.m.

Will the public hearing of the Water Board on the proposed Operating
Budget and Capital Improvements Budget for the Department of Water
Supply for the Fiscal Year 2011 -2012 please come to order.
My name is Dwayne Mukai. Aloha. I'm the Chairperson of the Water
Board, and the members of the Board and Staff who are here this morning,
could you all introduce yourselves, moving from left to right?
(Messrs. Delan Perry, Art Taniguchi, Bryan Lindsey, Bob Meierdiercks,
and Ken Kaneshiro introduce themselves.)
The Water Board, under Section 8 -2(c) of the Hawaii County Charter shall
adopt the Operating and Capital Improvements Budget for the Department
of Water Supply; and under the hearing and advertising provision of
Section 10 -4, Hawaii County Charter, did publish public hearing notices in
the Hawai' i Tribune - Herald and in the West Hawai' i Today on March 13,
2011.
We are here this morning to accept testimony on the budgets. Is there
anyone in the audience who wishes to testify? For the record, please state
your name and organization, if any. (Pause). There being none, I would
like to entertain a motion that this public hearing be closed.
So move.
