PERSONNEL ORDERS Nos. 2001 -114 to 2001 -124 COMMUNICATIONS Minutes from the Kauai Police Commission dated July 20 and August 24, 2001. Minutes from the Maui Police Commission dated August 22, 2001. Correspondence 94 from Corporation Counsel Lincoln Ashida dated September 24, 2001, regarding October 12 and 13, conference covering the Uniform Information Practices Act and state Sunshine Law. Correspondence 95 from Corporation Counsel Lincoln Ashida dated October 2, 2001, regarding assignments of legal personnel. Correspondence 96 from Michael McPherson dated October 5, 2001, regarding the commission's decision on his Complaint HPC 01 -24. EXECUTIVE SESSION To consider charges brought against officers of the Hawaii County Police Department where matters affecting privacy will be considered and a closed meeting is requested by individuals involved and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. • Status Report of Complaints Referred to the Police Chief • Consideration & Investigation of Complaint HPC 01 -27. Complainant alleged that during their arrest for DUI an officer used force in putting on the handcuffs, was disrespectful, and used improper language. Deliberation of Complaint HPC 00 -42. Complainant alleged that officer failed to arrest a man for violating a restraining order and filed an incorrect report. Investigator's report will be reviewed. ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS ANNOUNCEMENTS The next monthly meeting is scheduled for November 30, 2001, at the Ohana Keauhou Beach Resort, 78 -6740 Alii Dr., Kona.
