(Open to the Public) Corporation Counsel to give an explanation of statements.
EXECUTIVE SESSION (Closed to the Public)
To consider the hire of an employee where consideration of matters affecting privacy
will be involved; to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining
to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities; and to receive
information comprising of personal recommendations or evaluations. [Pursuant to HRS
92 -5 (a) (2), (4) and 92F -14 (b) (8).]
• Statements from the public on agenda items.
• Commission's consideration of Acting Chief Lawrence Mahuna, Major Charles
Chai, Captain Samuel Thomas, and Detective Moses Kaoiwi for Chief of Police.

Hilo Police Station.
