INVESTIGATION OF COMPLAINTS (Approximately 10:30 a.m.) STATEMENTS ON COMPLAINTS (open to the public) EXECUTIVE SESSION (closed to the public) To consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawaii County Police Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues that pertain to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92 -5 (2) and Hawaii County Charter Section 13 -20 (b). Hawaii County Police Commission Page 3 February 20, 2009 • STATUS REPORT OF INTERNAL AND REFERRED COMPLAINTS • STATEMENTS ON COMPLAINTS • INVESTIGATION AND DELIBERATION OF COMPLAINTS ➢ HPC 08 -33: Complainant alleged that an officer disclosed her confidential medical records without her authorization. ➢ HPC 09 -03A & 0313: Complainants alleged that an officer arrested the wrong person in a domestic abuse case. ➢ HPC 09 -05: Complainant alleged that an officer harassed her by giving her traffic citations. ➢ HPC 09 -06: Complainant alleged that the officers' report of a traffic accident was inaccurate and misleading. ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS NEW BUSINESS (After lunch recess.) The commission will work with Chief Harry Kubojiri on his goals for 2009.
