STATEMENTS ON COMPLAINTS (Approximately 10.30 a.m.) EXECUTIVE SESSION (CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC) To consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawaii County Police Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved, to conduct an annual evaluation of Police Chief Harry Kubojiri, and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92 -5 (2) (4) and Hawaii County Charter Section 13 -20 (b). Hawaii Police Commission January 15, 2010 Page 3 • STATEMENTS ON COMPLAINTS • INVESTIGATION AND DELIBERATION OF COMPLAINTS ➢ HPC 09 -47: Complainant requests a reconsideration of the Police Commission's decision that there was insufficient evidence to prove the allegations that a police officer lacked jurisdiction to issue citations. ➢ HPC 09 -54: Complainant alleged that his arrest for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest was trumped up. (Deferred for statement from officer.) • REPORT ON INTERNAL AND REFERRED COMPLAINTS • REVIEW OF 2009 ANNUAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF POLICE CHIEF HARRY KUBOJIRI (OPEN TO THE PUBLIC) ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS • The Police Commission's next monthly meeting will be on February 19, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. at the Kona Department of Liquor Control, 75 -5722 Hanama PI., Suite 1107, Kailua -Kona. • Collection of files and documents.
