Hawaii Police Commission August 19, 2010 Page 2 CHIEF'S REPORT Including: • Crime • Traffic • Personnel (Including, but not limited to work and training assignments, promotions, reallocations, severance from service, automobile allowances, and appointments. • Finance • Commendations • Other Departmental Activities EXECUTIVE SESSION (approximately 10:00 a.m.) To consider discipline and charges against officers or employees of the Hawaii County Police Department where consideration of matters affecting privacy will be involved, to review and evaluate the status of the Police Chief's goals, and to consult with Corporation Counsel on questions and issues pertaining to the commission's powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities pursuant to HRS 92 -5 (2) (4) and Hawaii County Charter Section 13 -20 (b). • Investigation and Deliberation of Complaints ➢ HPC 10 -14: Complainant made a complaint with the police department in 2006. She questioned the suspension of the case and requests that it be routed to the prosecutor. The commission accepted the complaint and requested information from Chief Kubojiri. (Continued from previous meeting). ➢ HPC 10 -22: Complainant was arrested for a TRO violation. She alleged misconduct throughout the entire process. • Status Report of Internal and Referred Complaints • Status Report of Police Chief Kubojiri's Goals for 2010 ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION MATTERS STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS ANNOUNCEMENTS • The Police Commission's next monthly meeting will be on Thursday, September 30, 2010, in the Hamakua Conference Room in the County Building, 25 Aupuni St., Hilo. • Collection of files and documents.
